 Social Class & Education

In this topic, it can be summarize that a group of people can be categorize in class which is called social class. It is a group for people who occupy a similar position in the economic system of production. The example of social class is the capitalist class, the upper middle class, the lower middle class, the working class. the working poor and the underclass. Because of this classes, it also can give impact on students' outcome. The students from lower income households score significantly lower on measure if vocabulary and communication skills, numbers and ability to concentrate than higher income household. Students from higher socioeconomic status families experience greater opportunities for and support cognitive engagement and learning. Thus, by improving the quality of teaching and learning in the schools especially in the rural area and also give more support for the working class students with facilities and internet access to study, they also able to improve themselves. Indeed, motivation also require for the students to do excellent in their study.
